CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES

CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In the bowl of a mixer, add 1 stick + 2 Tbsp softened, unsalted butter + 6 tbsp sugar + 6 tbsp dark brown sugar. Mix on medium speed  until light and fluffy, 4 min. Add 1 large egg + 1 tsp vanilla extract and beat 2 more minutes 2. To the wet ingredients, add 1 C + 2 Tbsp  all-purpose flour + ½  tsp baking soda + ½  tsp kosher salt. Mix until just combined 3. Add ½  lb chopped semi-sweet chocolate   + 1  C roasted, salted nuts 4. Roll into 2-inch balls and place on 2  baking sheets lined with parchment, leaving a few inches between cookies for spreading 5. Bake 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Makes 16 cookies
